Villa Curini Galletti, Lari - Pisa in Toscana
Inserita all'interno del borgo denominato Canfreo, ovvero luogo irto e scosceso, la villa, come avverte lo stesso Mariti nel suo Odeporico, è stata ricostruita alla fine del Settecento. A questa data del resto risale anche la ricca decorazione pittorica, realizzata da uno dei più talentuosi artisti operanti nel territorio pisano, Giovan Battista Tempesti, che per l'occasione si avvalse dell'ausilio di Giuseppe Soldaini.
Adiacente alla villa si scorge la cappella dedicata a Santa Maria Maddalena, commissionata dalla Contessa Maddalena Curini all'ingegnere Francesco Bombicci, in sostituzione della vecchia che sorgeva dirimpetto al palazzo. Anche la nuova cappella, a pianta centrale, fu decorata dal pittore pisano, il quale sull'altare affrescò Santa Maria Maddalena penitente.
