Insel Elba - Kirche Von S.Stefano und S.Michele
KIRCHE VON SANTO STEFANO: Lok. Le Trane (über der Straße die von Portoferraio nach Bagnaia führt). Die Kirche von S.Stefano in Magazzini, früher „alle Trane“ genannt, stellt im Moment das bedeutendste Architekturbeispiel im Bezug auf die romanische Religion der Insel Elba dar. Die im Umkreis entdeckten, archäologischen Fundstücke aus der romanischen Epoche, stammen alle aus der gleichen Ortschaft „TRANE“. Die Wortableitung stammt aus dem etruskischen ATRANE-NIA, in Latein ATRANUS. Das Bauwerk stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des XII. Jahrhunderts und präsentiert sich mit einer akkuraten Wandfläche aus regelmäßigen, elfenbeinfarbigen Lagen. Die Kirche hat einen einfachen Grundriss – sie besteht aus nur einem Kirchenschiff – und war früher mit Holz abgedeckt.
